Chase sought to elevate & upgrade their appearance from last years US Open in the hopes to stand out amongst the sea of blue. They initially partnered with King & Partners to establish a new branding system for their US Open presence. The inspiration was taken from a collegiate style of design, utilizing minimalist layouts and horizontal stripes.
Chase then partnered up with Big Spaceship where myself and the team were tasked with using the branding as a base guideline to fascilitate the creative asks. From videos, to 3D renders, motion pieces, on-site print and banners. No media was left untouched as we pushed the creative into a place that Chase could be proud of.
A big shout out to King & Partners, BAM, Giant Ant and Creative Artists Agency for the multi-agency and discipline crossover effort to put this beast to rest.
Styles & Treatments
Experimenting with different colorways, angles, line widths and so on allowed us to create a more dynamic visual system for the 3D Elements and typography to seamlessly interact with.
Motion & Video treatments
Once the design elements were established, we were able to create and concept out videos and motion pieces that would span across all media types. From the on-site LEDs , Jumbotrons & ATMs; to the Oculus at the WTC and Timesquare.
On-site applications
Taking our visual treatments we worked with the agency BAM to help apply our work in the physical realm. From re-skinning bodegas, return bins, to ice cream carts; we took the collegiate look and feel and applied it to tangible objects throughout the US Open site.
