SPCSHP (Previously Big Spaceship) reached out to me to be a part of their agencies web overhaul. Having just gone under a full rebranding, they needed to apply it to their web presence and launch under their new brand system. I worked closely with the group design director and developer to create a design system to help unify the designs for the website.

I was responsible for creating a majority of the internal pages and layouts, from both a UX and UI perspective. We focused on a bolder modular approach so that the imagery and type make a statement as you move throughout the experience.

Orbs & their purpose

To create depth and space, we use the orbs in a manner that depicts the concept of "near and far." Whether as a background element, or an element that interacts with the layout, every orb is chosen with a goal in mind.

Staying modular

Making sure the website will be easy to maintain, a part of the design task that was integral to its success was creating a system of modules that could be swapped in or out with ease.

Keeping it Clean

We wanted to be bold in our layouts, but keeping it minimal and with a strong sense of hierarchy. Imagery was a driving point, coupled with simplistic yet effective headlines and titles.

Color shifts

In order to help with scroll fatigue and create a more dynamic experience, we use color shifts on pages where it helps tell and contribute to the story. On case study pages we leverage a dominant color from the brands being shown.
